Microwave Caramel Corn
Combine and cook in microwave on high for 2 minutes:
- 1 stick margarine
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup white syrup
- ¼ tsp salt
Stir and cook another 2 minutes. Add and stir well:
- ¼ tsp soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
Pour over 4 quarts popcorn and stir well. Cook in micrwave ½ - 1½ minutes on high. Allow to cool 5 minutes before eating.

Blueberry Bars
- 1 cup butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour (I like ½ whole wheat and ½ white)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¾ - 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Cream the butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add the nuts. Stir the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl and then add it to the creamed mixture.
Spread in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan; bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
